Established in 2012, stop. is now a thriving business within the beautiful medieval town of Shrewsbury. Nicola and Mike Dalton changed careers and opened their first coffee shop in St Julians Friars – perfectly situated for walks along the river, the famous Quarry park and stopping off on your way into the town centre.
Eighteen months later stop. moved into the newly refurbished Museum and Art Gallery in the town centre to open their second branch. Fabulously airy, with its own large private courtyard, stop. cafe bar is a perfect location for locals and tourists alike. The venue also hosts music events and is available for private hire.
The final stop. branch (for now....) opened in September 2015 with the historic opening of Shrewsbury’s first University, based in the Guildhall building in Frankwell overlooking the River Severn. stop. @ University Centre Shrewsbury is open, term time for students, staff and visitors to the University.
We are extremely proud of our small team who work hard to provide a warm, friendly welcome to all. They are rightly renowned for their excellent customer service skill which has led to us establishing a loyal following. Our cafes are easily accessible and very family friendly. We pride ourselves on the excellence of our coffee (supplied by Danielle’s Coffee), offer an uncomplicated, but quality savoury menu and produce THE best cake in town – all made by our in-house baker Richy Wedge.
